Mindfulness

Mindfulness can be vastly understood as the state in which one becomes more aware in the present moment of one's physical, mental and emotional condition, without becoming judgmental. Practices of mindfulness are thought to be able to help people control their thoughts better, rather than being controlled by them.

Biofeedback

Biofeedback is a mind-body technique teaches people how to better control the involuntary responses of the body to facilitate improved health. Some essential bodily functions, such as blood pressure management, pain perception, skin temperature, cardiovascular movement, pulse rate, and brain waves, are regulated by the nervous system involuntarily — and sometimes unconsciously. Biofeedback therapy, using electrical sensors and other equipment, allows patients to gain more awareness about what is happening within their bodies, make small adjustments to their thinking, and monitor how their mind reacts to other health problems or certain sensations.
